Examples of successful applications in wastewater treatment plants

flizz energy chain system for primary clarifiers

In the large sewage treatment plant in Plauen, our basic flizz system reliably supplies the scraper bridge with energy. It replaces a motorised cable reel, and since then the energy and signal supply of the primary clarifier has been running smoothly. The new system - a ready-to-install combination of energy chain and stainless steel enclosure - was specially developed to meet the requirement profile of sewage treatment plant operations.

Energy chain system instead of cable drum

Now a solution had to be found for the energy supply of the mobile scraper of a clarification basin. The Aggerverband decided against the conventional solution with cable drum and in favour of an energy supply system from the lbt flizz® system. The result: the system at the sewage treatment plant has been working without failures since 2000.

The world's largest polymer energy chain

Anyone travelling to Antwerp by car will see it from afar on the motorway: the world's largest polymer energy chain, the E4.350 from igus. At a silt-processing plant near the harbour, the e-chain runs on a huge arch-shaped bridge. The world's largest plastic energy chain to date is used to safely guide the heavy movable hoses on the bridge.
