Guide trough is used in long travels where the e-chain® glides (according to chain type from 5m-12m). They support the smooth low friction operation of the igus energy chains and energy tubes. If the fixed end is installed at the centre of the travel ("centre-fixed"), the energy chains glide on themselves for half the travel. For the other half, we recommend glide bars installed in the trough, on which the e-chains glide. Guide troughs have glide bars made of highly abrasion-resistant plastic (exception RS - glide surface steel).
