Shore power projects are complex infrastructure projects with individual technical requirements. With our interdisciplinary team, we take care of the planning, system integration, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and inspection of the entire shore power system. The result is cost-effective and future-proof solutions that are optimally tailored to the requirements of the respective terminal.

Every terminal has different requirements for the integration of shore power. Berth layout, fender systems, flood protection systems, ship profiles, and operational processes have a decisive influence on the optimal system design.
That is why every shore power project at igus begins with a detailed engineering process. Together with the operator, we analyse the technical and operational framework conditions and develop the right solution for the respective location - from the selection of the optimal installation option to complete system integration.
Thanks to our experience with numerous shore power projects implemented for container, cruise, Ro-Ro and multi-use terminals worldwide, our customers benefit from proven concepts, short planning paths and a technically and economically optimised solution.
The result: Tailor-made shore power systems that integrate optimally into the infrastructure and operational processes of any terminal.
Shore power supply is one of the topics occupying the world's ports and shipping industry.
Every project has its own challenges and requirements. Please feel free to contact us, and we’ll work with you to find the best way to get your shore power project started.

Every terminal has its own technical and operational requirements. This is why every installation concept is individually tailored to the infrastructure, terminal operation and local conditions. We take container, cruise and Ro-Ro terminals into account in equal measure and plan the implementation in such a way that ongoing operations can be maintained as well as possible. Thanks to our global network and cooperation with local installation partners, our customers benefit from short response times, high cost efficiency and local know-how. At the same time, experienced shore power supervisors and locally based igus port managers supervise the installation on site and ensure the technical quality of the implementation. Thanks to the experience gained from numerous shore power projects already implemented, installations can be carried out in clearly defined project phases - from pre-installation to commissioning. Especially with new buildings, it is advisable to integrate infrastructure components such as trench systems into the terminal planning at an early stage in order to achieve maximum flexibility and minimal restrictions in operation in the long term.
The result: Efficient installation processes, minimised impact on terminal operations, and safe commissioning by experienced shore power specialists

Our goal: To keep shore power systems ready for operation at all times – safe, reliable and available exactly when they are needed.
For years, ports and terminals around the world have relied on igus shore power supply solutions. From container and cruise terminals to applications at Ro-Ro terminals - our systems prove themselves daily under real operating conditions on all continents.
