Study by the Machine Tools Laboratory and Business Operations (WZL) at RWTH Aachen on "Vibration Tests in Energy Supply Chains". Results: the "E6" energy supply system made by igus® GmbH, Cologne, is characterised by extremely low vibration and smooth operation.
A measurement conducted by the Rhineland Technical Inspection Authority (TÜV Rheinland) in May 2002 indicated a value of ≤ 46 dB(A) at 2 m/s and an unsupported length of 1.5 m for Series E6.52.100.100.0 given at least 10 dB(A) of sound pressure level generated by external noise. A measurement in the igus laboratory indicated 37 dB(A) for Series E6.29.080.075.0 at v = 1.0 m/s (unsupported).
