Successful use in facade and building technology

The French company Arcora has developed a sustainable, innovative sun shading system that does not require the usual motorisation. Our plain and spherical bearings and linear guides are used in the interfaces between the moving and fixed elements.

In order to minimise the amount of work required after the installation of the exterior façade, the bearing technology for the pivot points of the vertical slats had to be as maintenance-free as possible. Due to their incorporated solid lubricants, the iglidur ® J bearings were chosen, which also enable optimum coefficient of friction without maintenance in the long term.

Fenster Keller GmbH relies on plain bearings from igus® in its glass louvre system. 7300 bushings made of iglidur ® G material are used in the 63 support posts. The bearings are our economical all-rounder, which is very well suited for swivelling and rotating movements.

The folding sliding shutters from the Swiss company HAWA move automatically forwards and back again. The motor moves with them and therefore needs a flexible power supply. As space is tight and the entire system needs to move as quietly as possible, an E2.1 energy chain is used here.

The automatic insulation material cutter from EBAWE Anlagentechnik uses PRT slewing ring bearings, among other things. They ensure reliable movement of the 3D head on the high-pressure water jet nozzle, which enables bevelled cuts.

Aectual produces sustainable products with its XXL 3D printing robot for the construction industry. Our pneumatic retraction system RSP prevents cables from hanging in the work area without restricting the robot's movement.
