Quality control tests with cobots

In this application, the UR Cobot first takes over the quality control function. Equipped with an additional 2D camera and vacuum hoses, the brake pads are inspected and pre-sorted accordingly. After passing quality control, the cobot also takes over part of the assembly.

The additional functions, such as picking up the workpieces, require an additional vacuum hose on the robot. For the camera-controlled quality inspection aspect, an additional cable and camera had to be attached to the cobot. However, the UR is not supplied with an external energy supply system.
