Pull-out force of opening webs

If stiff and heavy cables or hydraulic hoses are routed in the e-chain® , clamping latch separators increase the holding force of the crossbar. The igus®laboratory has now tested how the force that the crossbar of the E4.1 programme can withstand is increased by the snap-in separators.

The new 56.6 and 80.6 notch separators were used, which igus® presented as an innovation at Hannover Messe 2015. These notch separators additionally close the e-chain® and increase the holding force of the crossbar.

The two e-chain® E4.56 and E4.80 were each pulled apart with and without notch separators in the test machine with increasing force.

**The result:** The use of locking separators increases the pull-out force at the opening crossbars by up to 77%.
