The carbon fibre-reinforced 3D printing filament igumid P190 offers extreme strength and rigidity, making it ideal for strong structural components, special mounting brackets for energy chain® and lightweight construction. It was developed specifically as a high-strength material partner for iglidur i190 to combine highly resilient with particularly durable, friction-optimised specifications in multi-material printing. Thanks to this combination, the material can be used flexibly for demanding, weight-saving designs.
Because of the abrasive fibres, the used printer to process the filament should have a wear-resistant (e.g. hardened) nozzle and extruder pinion. The filament is very sensitive to moisture and should be stored in a dry container and actively dried.
Design instructions for multi-material printing can be found here in our blog.
