iglidur Q3E plain bearing | Cost-effective high-load plain bearing for high volumes

Q3E plain bearings consist of two components: an inner gliding layer optimised for low coefficient of wear and friction and a strongly reinforced outer layer for a mechanically high-strength shell. These plain bearings are manufactured via two-component injection moulding, which makes them extremely cost-effective for series production.

Designed for heavy-duty applications

Plain bearings made of iglidur Q3E material are suitable for heavy-duty applications where bearings made of metal or fibre composite bushings are traditionally used and cost savings are sought, including in the construction and agricultural machinery industries. Their maximum recommended surface pressure is 180MPa (static) and 76MPa (dynamic), which means they can cover many heavy-duty applications.

Self-lubricating and maintenance-free

The decisive advantage: the plain bearings require no regular lubrication and thus save costs for maintenance and lubricants. Microscopic solid lubricants are integrated into the polymer of the inner layer and released gradually during the use of the bearing. Expensive damage to shafts and plain bearings due to lacking or improperly performed lubrication is avoided with Q3E plain bearings.
